So ends chapter 5! The comic will be going on a hiatus while I work on the next chapter. I’m not sure how long that will be yet, as I have recently acquired a day job as a graphic designer, and my husband and I want to get on pitching another comic project to publishers. However, I will keep you all posted! I always talk about what I’m up to on my blog, so feel free to drop by and check it out!
First, here’s a quick illustration I did as tribute to Jean “Moebius” Giraud’s passing. If not for him and his art, Elysion Age would not look the way it does. His work was and continues to be a HUGE influence on the way I’ve designed the comic’s world and its inhabitants. He was a magnificent illustrator and comic artist.
In other news I am sorry about the lack of activity here. I’ve been crazy busy with a lot of things, thumbnailing the 6th chapter being one of them. I posted a photo of some of the thumbs over on my blog. I’m about halfway through, but I have hit some snags as far as writing. Nothing major, but unforseen problems nonetheless. Things aren’t as tight as I was hoping they would be, and I am now working on fixing it. I apologize for the delay, but I’m afraid it will continue for a bit. I’m determined to put out the best version of this story that I can.
To the people that are sticking around, thanks so much for your patience! I do the comic pretty much for free, so my only payoff is the tell the story itself, and the fact that people read and enjoy it. So you readers are a huge deal to me! You have no idea how much I appreciate it.
So for some random reason the page files for 5, 95, 96, 98, and 99 got disconnected from the storyline structure of Webcomic, which caused them not to show up if you were clicking through pages. They have been repaired, and everything should now be working properly. If you come upon broken pages, please feel free to let me know and I’ll get them back up as quick as I can!
(Edit: ok, I think the problem was that I got too fancy and separated the comic into volumes. This would have been the very beginning of the second volume. So it was acting like this was the first page and there was nothing previous. I went ahead and fixed the parent structure of the files and that seems to have done the trick!)
So for reasons that are beyond my grasp, the “previous” and and “first” buttons aren’t showing up on the latest comic page. They show up in the navigation for every other page but the latest page. I’m going to try and figure out what’s going on. If anyone has any ideas as to what the problem is and would like to comment, that would be very appreciated!
(Edit: The issue was with the permalinks, I went ahead and fixed that. Sorry about the downtime!)
I have no idea why none of the pages are showing up. D: I’m working on getting them back up ASAP.
Just a reminder, chapter 5 will begin posting in just one week from now! In the meantime, previews are being posted on the production blog.
While the comic isn’t coming back until Sept. 6th, you can still see new art as well as in-progress shots of the 5th chapter being made over at the production blog. Pop on over and have a look!

As of this very moment, the site is getting an overhaul. It should be done and the all the comic pages should be up by the end of today, by tomorrow at the very latest. Thanks for your patience!
On the 19th of May last year, I posted the first pages of the Elysion Age. Though it’s been in my head for quite some time now, it’s officially been around on the net for a year now! In honor of that, the vote incentive are some sketches of Rin from 2005.
It’s actually not even the oldest thing I have of him, I tried to dig that up but I seem to have misplaced it from the last time I moved. So that will have to wait till some other time.
Also in honor of the 1 year anniversary, Justin Hernandez (he does the chapter openers and closers, EXAMPLE) has done an awesome illustration! Enjoy! :D
In other news, Justin and I are going to be at fanime! We have a couple tables in the artist alley, specifically tables 175 and 176. If you’re going to be there, drop by and say hello!
